Let me start by conveying my absolute admiration for this film. I’ve followed the Coen Brothers career with great interest and gone on their ups and downs as they created some of the best, most interesting, worst and least interesting films of our time. True Grit becomes my new favourite Coen Brothers film.
What I like most about it is the narrative. I really like how the Coen Brothers previously had such strange and interesting characters within their films but often felt I had to accept that the narrative left something to be desired. Not that I minded much. I personally enjoyed seeing the characters they created in any way they chose to define them. Taking a story like True Grit and adapting it to film with their technique and style is just a beautiful thing to watch.
Based on a novel by a man named Charles Portis True Grit is shot beautifully with actors that are at the height of their craft. No wonder it has so many nominations for this years Oscars, however that is not why you should see it. You should see it because honestly it is the film I will comparing, not only any following Coen Brothers film to but, all subsequent films from now on.
I highly recommend watching the featurette’s and interviews accessible through the IMDB website for some added information on production, music, costumes and cinematography. It demonstrates the level of talent and creativity they went used to turn this story into the film.

I have spent my time so far, in the new expansion, levelling a Worgen.
I must admit the new character has re-invigorated my enthusiasm for reading quests and understanding what is actually happening around me. I had previously gotten to a point, with my questing, where I wouldn’t read anything, I would just use the in-game quest helper to move through the levels. I actually have an invested interest in the Worgens, where they have come from and where they are going.
I especially like that at 20, instead of leaning to ride a mount… you just run faster!

I am also partial to howling a the moon from time to time.
I logged on an hour after the launch and there were people everywhere however, it didn’t discourage me or even irritate me, as the atmosphere was incredible. Questing within a phase is an added bonus when there are so many people around and the game play in the new area is a lot of fun. There is lots of variety and challenging moments.
I have a little problem with some of the new wild life from the expansion. I’m seeing around, near the Worgens and elsewhere, animals that are life like. They are designed so heavily on actual animals, like foxes, for example that I am distracted by them. They feel out of place to me and I find myself taken out of the experience every time I spot them.

I spent some time, pre launch, levelling a new human character to experience The Shattering in Azeroth. So far I am very pleased with the new and old story lines, and the change in pacing of the of levelling-up is dramatic.
I am looking forward to the underwater zone and meeting Deathwing at some stage. I wonder if he is looking forward to meeting me too.
